IRK Hat
Project: IRK (Ravelry link)
Pattern: Hurricane Hat by Andrea Goutier
Yarn: Wisdom Poems (Ravelry link) – less than 1 ball
Notes: OMG I LOVE THIS HAT. It is so freaking awesome. Started Friday night, and finished Saturday night. The yarn makes me think of the ocean, and, combined with the pattern, makes it a really, really special hat. The project title comes from the three most significant hurricanes in my life: Ike (2008), Rita (2005), and Katrina (2005).

Poems continues to be one of my favorite yarns. It’s not as scratchy as some other wools, which makes me super happy.

I bought 2 balls of this colorway at the yarn store, just in case. I might make some mittens out of the second ball. Or a little scarflette. Maybe. Some sort of matching set would be cool.
Also.
♥ HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!! ♥

[...] I used half the chart from Knitty’s Swell for the waves. I used Poems again (because apparently, I am obsessed) and clever readers will already have realized that the MC is the same as the one I used for my IRK hat! [...]
